Our Working Team

Teamwork replies upon individuals working together in a cooperative environment to achieve common team goals through sharing knowledge and skills.

The VNTU working team is dedicated to bring out the best of abilities of Vietnamese teachers organisations worldwide to support our mission defined in VNTU Charter, adopted on October 1st, 2020 by our Committee.

Here is a short introduction of VNTU Working Team Members.

The Team

Michelle Duong, President

Michelle Duong (alias Ton Nu Thoc Nau) has been active in education and grassroots capacity building for the Vietnamese youth for over 35 years. As Head of the Institute for Viet-US and Globalisation Studies, she brings in her expertise in micro financing (for Vietnamese family entreprises), as well as in capacity building of Vietnamese young teaching professionals. Michelle is based in California, USA.

Dr Anita Hoang, Secretary General

Dr Anita Hoang (alias Anh Tho Andres) has been promoting Vietnam Culture to the European audience, and woking as a multilingual translator for investment projects in Vietnam for over 35 years. In September 2020, she joined the VNTU and is bringing her expertise in intercultural communication, and in project management to serve the community of VNTU. Anita is based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Dr. Khan Hoang, Board Member

Dr Khan is a biologist and nutritionist after he graduated from the Univerity of Geneva, Swtizerland. He has been active in education and grassroots capacity building for the Vietnamese youth for over 35 years. as the Founder and President of the Association Pont-du-Pacifique Les Amis du Vietnam, he brings in his expertise in nutition and community building for small family businesses in Vietnam. He is based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Projects

Vietnamese Language and Culture at Community Level

Project Owner: Association Pont-du-Pacifique Geneva

Au Lac School and Association du Pacifique (Geneva) have been active at community through different projects to encourage the learning of the Vietnamese language, keeping the tradition and strenghening the ties between the French and Swiss-Vietnamese communities.

Revival of the Viet Tribe through Viet-Nho Hoc

Project Owner: Viet Hoc Studies (USA)

Research, publications and training workshops on the Vietnamese Culture have been done by many different vietnamese communities in various formats. Our effort is to collect all these efforts under one roof for researchers and teachers of the younger generations to come back to sources.

Keeping viet values among the Vietnamese Diaspora

Project owner: Viet Hoc Studies (USA)

Wars and disruptions have created a vacuum among generations that are systematically assimilated to the second or third country of resettlement. Traditions with values are a good way to keep these generations close to the Mother Land.

Capacity Building for Vietnamese Teachers

Project Owner: VNTU Geneva Head Office

In collaboration with Globethics.net Foundation, we have launch many translation projects and training seminars on Ethics Education and Capacity Building for teachers and teaching professionals at various levels: both inside Vietnam and outside.

Research Grants for Vietnamese Young Scholars

Project Owner: VNTU Geneva Head Office

Knowing the Vietnamese students are appreciated by foreign universities, we are looking for grant to help students prepare their research careers with Universities on topics related to our learning objectives. Training programmes include preparatory courses in English-French or German to allow students to get grants from universities in Western Europe, in addition to the traditional sources of grants from the USA, Canada or Australia.

Building a Library Collection on Vietnam Hoc Studies

Project Owner: Vietnam Hoc Institute (VHI)

Thanks to the support of Globethics.net, we are seeking funds to support Assoc. Prof of History, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Initiator of the Vietnam Hoc Institute (VHI). The VHI project will have its office at the Agape Foundation premises, with the support of Prof. Dr Dr h.c. Christoph Stückelberger, Founder and President of Globethics.net
